5 Tips To Make Your Fitness Business Successful
1) Know your target market.
If your market is everyone, your market is no one. When we began Flow in 2013, we knew we wanted to target professional females and mum’s aged 25-40. From there, everything we did in terms of marketing and branding spoke to this audience. We now have a very loyal customer base because we focused on understanding their needs and delivering results.
2) Ask for feedback.
Who needs market research when the research is right in front of you! Ask for feedback from those using your service. This will help you improve in places you didn’t think needed improving. Your customers will also feel like they are being heard, so it’s a win-win for both parties.
3) Plan for the week ahead
As the business owner you have so many jobs to do weekly. The best way to get around this is to plan your week in advance. Before every week begins, I make sure my meetings and to-do’s are scheduled in so I’m prepared, organised and have a good grip on where my time is going. I also make sure I have a single focus for the week that I want to tackle head on.
4) Know your numbers!
Number of leads, leads to conversions, rent, wages, income. This needs to be a top priority for all business owners. If you’re not a numbers person, hire a good accountant or business coach to guide you through it. You NEED to have a finger on the pulse of your business performance.
5) Invest in yourself
Maintain personal development through books, workshops and mentors. YOU are your number one driver and if you hire staff then they’re going to be looking at you to lead. Ask yourself each day what are you learning and how are you getting better? Then make it an effort to strive for improvement.
