Perrie Edwards Inspires Women To Share Scar Stories With Powerful Instagram Photo
Perrie Edwards from the British girl-group Little Mix shared a photo on Instagram that has sparked an unexpected movement online.
Perrie Edwards has spoken about her scar in the past, which was the result of several life-saving operations. She told Now magazine last year that she has always been self conscious about it.
“When I was little, my oesophagus was too small, so I had to get it operated on to help me eat properly,” she explained. “I had to have lots of operations, so that’s why I don’t want to show it.”
But she took to Instagram a few days ago to show her scar off proudly, and she looks amazing.
But the best part of this is the impact it has had on young women who have similar scars. Since she shared the photo, many people have come forward with their own stories of scars and shared photos proudly baring them.
She had many supportive comments on the photo from fans, despite some haters.
