Canoe Wants to Float on Home with You!

Will you take a chance on Canoe? Canoe’s still learning how to be a dog, and according to one of our volunteers, he “still has so much to learn but has a good heart and disposition.”

This good-natured pup shows affection after being out and about for a while, leaning into and enjoying pets. His favorite activity is to sniff to his heart’s content while out with our volunteers!

Canoe can be a bit nervous and anxious in new places and may take some time so settle in, so an adopter who’s dedicated to helping him feel safe and to providing the continued training he needs is key. Canoe can also get overwhelmed by other dogs and will need to meet any potential dog friends in a one-on-one setting. But no worries, our Behavior team has a special transition plan created to help this special guy!

If you’re ready to take a ride with Canoe, and you live in the tri-state area, check out his profile today and complete an application!
