In the past everything was better?: Study shows that many people today are stressed
Everything was better, the life is relaxed and people are stressed less? What many subjectively experience already for a long time, is evidenced by a recent study.
A team of researchers from Penn State University compared the results of a survey on the topic of Stress from 1995 with those of a survey carried out in 2012.
These groups were interviewed with a similar Age profile to take account of people the same age but of different character due to the prevailing decade.
People today feel more Stress than in the past
The result is clear: In the survey, the subjects reported to feel on average, 2 percent more days of Stress than in the 90s, David M. Almeida, Professor of Human development and family studies at Penn State.
In absolute Figures, this corresponds to the year of a week of more Stress.
Especially older people feel stressed
The Team around Almeida would have expected that especially young adults in the light of the uncertain job market, would be exposed to more Stress.
With the equivalent of 64 days of Stress in the year, however, the 40 – to 60-Year-olds that were stressed in 2012 to 19 percent stronger than the same age group 20 years earlier.

Uncertain future and finances as the main stressors
The said age group, which is often a Mid-Life Crisis, and has to fight Almeida, according to may with the care of both the children and their parents.
The perceived responsibility for the younger and the older Generation might be a reason for enhanced future.
On the basis of data collected, the researchers have also found that in 2012 significantly more people assume, Stress can have an impact on your finances and your plans for the future.
Also, technological progress could help people feel faster and more stressed.
