Young adults hamsterten due to Corona
Not only in the case of drugs showed that younger people bought in stock. So 53 percent of 18 to 29 gave – Year-old, to have products of daily needs such as food, soap or toilet paper above the ordinary level obtained, and 51 percent of 30 – to 39-Year-old.

Large households with three to four as well as five people hamsterten accordingly, particularly, as those with a high education level. Households with little income back kept.
A cause for this purchase is behavior that the parents have supplies for their children, according to the market researchers.
This could explain why relatively young people struck with food and drugs strengthened. They felt responsible for other people in the household – for example, if they suffer from diseases.
Out of fear of the Coronavirus consumers had stocked up with toilet paper, soap, pasta and yeast to be inserted in drugstores and supermarkets shelves are omitted due to lack of replenishment is empty.
Easter shopping behavior normalized to the Federal Statistical office, according to again, also because of the need of many households was covered.
Drugs in high demand
Also, drugs against colds, fever or pain were asked out of fear of the pandemic in the consumers greatly. At the same time, supply shortages are increased in the case of drugs, the Federal Institute for drugs and medical products.
Pharmacists stressed repeatedly in the Corona-crisis, there are over-the-counter drugs often Alternative, if a means was just.
In the survey, many people reported to have drugs, and that without urgent complaints bought. Around three-quarters of respondents who bought medicines on stock, procured, therefore, over-the-counter drugs for diseases which are not acute-in templates.
More than 80 percent cited as a reason the fear of supply bottlenecks. Only one-third acted on the advice of your doctor or pharmacist.
Every fifth Respondent has also stated that a required medication has not been in the past eight weeks available – especially in the case of over-the-counter products.
A majority of 57 percent believes that the availability of drugs is secured.
There is no reason to supply medicinal products to stock, if not, the doctor or pharmacist advise, stressed Hubertus Cranz, Director General of the BAH.
“In many cases, the disproportionate purchase of medicines, which are not needed leads to delivery of short-term bottlenecks to the detriment of other patients.”
