Choking hazard: Depot recalls ice cube sets

The Gries Deco Company GmbH returns to the Eiswürfelset “Fruits” as a part of the piece could be swallowed, and in consequence of asphyxiation.

The Eiswürfelset, consisting of various fruits, it was from the 14.07.2020 to 05.08.2020 in all Depot stores and in the Online Shop sells.

Consumers who have purchased the Set, should strongly refrain from using it.

Because of likelihood of danger of Choking

“It cannot be excluded that the in Eiswürfelset contained ice-cube ‘strawberry’ is confused with food. The piece is ingestible, this is a choking hazard. For this reason, it is strongly discouraged from the further use of the product,” writes the company in a statement.

Affected customers will be called to the Eiswürfelset in a vault store return. Without the template of the receipt of the full sale will be refunded the price.
