Because of the full stomach: the intestines, the feeling of satiety?

Must rethink mab in the future, when it comes to which part of the body for Hunger and satisfaction feelings in charge?

A new, in the medical journal ‘Cell’ published study seems to support this thought almost put.

Previously, it was assumed that receptors in the stomach are for the transmission of signals to the brain in charge: the Alarm is hit, when the Hunger sets in and the body has taken enough food.

The causes were but, as yet, unexplored. The results reached by the researchers at the University of California in San Francisco, suggest now, however, on the gut as the trigger of Satiety.

The satiety feeling on the track

In the context of the study, the researchers stimulated the nerve cells in the mucosa and the muscles of the stomach and intestines in mice.

Those rodents stopped to eat, in which the activation of neurons pretended to be a stomach strain. However, the experimental animals in which the intestinal receptors of a stretch to be affected is registered, is considerably more in your feeling of satiety to the rails.

The scientists were surprised. Study author Prof. Dr. Zachary Knight advises to this point, however, to caution: It is yet only a hypothesis needs to be further checked.

Why are stomach to lose weight reductions?

Should it really be the stomach, but the feeling of satiety further back in the digestive chain, how is it that people lose weight, if you can, for health reasons, the stomach shrink?

Reflect the study results, the not actually? No, because the smaller the stomach the food passes in the digestive process in the intestines.

Until further research results are available, however, caution is called for. Medical recommendations cannot be given on the basis of the current study as yet.
