Ariel Winter showed off her super-fit figure in her Halloween costume over the weekend, where she dressed up as a space cowgirl clad in a see-through neon green matching set, complete with silver wig and intergalactic makeup.

“Just a cowgirl lost in space 🚀💫,” she captioned her photo.

Her costume is out of this world (sorry, had to!) but, tbh, I can’t stop staring at her abs and toned booty. The Modern Family actress works hard for those muscles: Ariel, 21, has posted vids to her Instagram of herself doing weighted squats, deadlifts and bear planks.

She also does cardio, but not with the goal to lose weight.

“I’ll do cardio occasionally but I’m not looking to lose any more weight, I’m looking to gain muscle,” she previously told WomensHealthMag.com. “I don’t weigh myself, I don’t care about that.”

Ariel’s also been candid about the fact that she only started seeing results from her workouts after switching antidepressant medications.“Years ago, it was hard because I’d go to the gym with my trainer and because of my antidepressant medications I never saw results,” she said.

“I didn’t change my antidepressants because I wanted to lose weight, I’d just accepted it and it was fine,” she says. “I got inspired to actually find a medication that helped me as a person and did all the things I wanted it to do.”

After she finally found the combination that worked for her, the actress said it felt like it “turned back on my metabolism” and that it “happened really quickly.”

“When I changed meds, and started feeling better about myself mentally, losing weight was helpful because it made me feel like I wasn’t just stuck. I hate being stuck anywhere in life.”
