Cynthia Bailey Got a Gorgeous Set of Black and Copper-Colored Locs
Always the moment, Cynthia Bailey is serving face and a new hairstyle this holiday season. On November 2, the model and actress took to Instagram to show off her shiny faux locs just in time for the premiere of her new show, Games People Play. Hairstylist Derek Jae put a couple of twists on the protective style, adding a few streaks of copper hair and some gold accents. The final look is effortlessly chic, just like Bailey herself.
While there are plenty of protective styles to choose from, box braids and locs like the ones Bailey now has are favorites for their versatility. Worn up in a high bun or let loose to drape over the shoulder, they stay feeling fresh.
If you're looking for unique ways to update faux locs, there's plenty of inspiration to be found courtesy of the ever-resourceful internet. To add a bit of glam, you'll want to check out Washington D.C.-based hairstylist Amber Mimz who created Hair Sprinkles. A colorful selection of beads that are applied throughout the hair to give the effect of mini jewels, the look was a hit on TikTok and is perfect for upcoming holiday gatherings. And if you want to add some height, a sculptural updo like the one Sherelle Holder created for our summer locs photo shoot is always a hit.
