These Ohio Cats are Pawsitively Purrfect—And Available for Adoption!
These cats may be FeLV or FIV positive but they’re also pawsitively amazing! Despite their diagnosis, these kitties at our Cruelty Recovery Center in Columbus, Ohio, are just like everyone else—and they are looking for love and homes to call their own.
Feline immunodeficiency virus or FIV is a slow-acting virus that weakens a cat’s immune system making them susceptible to various secondary diseases. However, when given manageable, supportive medical care and kept in a stress-free, indoor environment, FIV positive cats can live comfortable and long lives! FIV positive cats can live safely with negative cats as long as there is no fighting or aggression between them.
Feline Leukemia Virus or FeLV is similar to FIV in that it weakens a cat’s immune system and makes them more susceptible to secondary diseases. FeLV can also be managed, and while infected cats usually have shorter lifespans, they can still live happy, comfortable lives and have no shortage of love to give! FeLV is more easily spread between cats so positive cats should either be the only cat in the household or live with other FeLV positive cats (a great reason to adopt two of our special kitties at once!)

Purr Diddy Is Pawsitively a Lap Cat!
Purr Diddy has the purrfect rhythm moving through his paws for biscuit making! This sweet, four-year-old boy wants a lap to move his biscuit making to and he’s hoping it will be yours! Purr Diddy is FIV positive so he should live in a home where he is the only cat or a home where all the cats can coexist peacefully without biting or clawing. Purr Diddy is a big, fluffy boy who has lived with other cats and small dogs and has done well with both.

Pawsha Fierce is Pawsitively Playful!
Pawsha Fierce is a one-year-old single lady waiting for someone to put a ring on one of her many (extra) toes! Pawsha is polydactyl and it’s one of the many adorable things about her. This Diva is young, spunky and playful! Don’t leave Pawsha Fierce a broken-hearted girl, adopt her and give her all the love she deserves! Pawsha has previously lived in a home with other cats but she is FeLV positive so will need to go to her next home as the one and only queen bee of the castle. But she has also lived with dogs and done well so wouldn’t mind a canine companion in her new home.

McFluffin Is Pawsitively Cuddly!
McFluffin is a a seven-month-old kitten looking for a McFamily! McFluffin is the delightful mix of cuddly and playful. He enjoys zooming around his kennel, playing with all of his toys and receiving attention from everyone. McFluffin hopes he can find a home with a comfy couch to nap on and lots of toys to play with. McFluffin must be the only cat in his new home as he is FeLV positive. He can be in a home with dogs as he has been around other dogs in his past. McFluffin is ready for all the McLovin in his new home!

Elvis Purrsley Is Pawsitively Loving!
Elvis Purrsley is a three-year-old cat who is looking for his purr-fect home! You definitely can’t help falling in love with Elvis. He needs all the attention all the time. He will demand cuddles from you and will climb right into your lap. Elvis has a burning love for everyone he meets and says that cuddling and snuggling is good for the heart. If you want a cat who will love you unconditionally, Elvis is definitely the cat for you. Elvis must be the only cat in his new home as he is FeLV positive. He can be in a home with a (hound) dog as he has been around other dogs in his past. Elvis is hoping for all the good luck charm while he searches for his new family. Once you meet Elvis, we know he will be stuck on you– literally and figuratively!

Looking to add some fun to your life? Look no further than this pint-sized lady with a diva sized purrsonality! Feline Dion is an eight-month-old kitten who is full of fun and games! She LOVES to play and is an extremely outgoing little lady. Feline is FeLV positive so she should be an only cat in the house, but she wouldn’t mind a dog friend since she has previously lived with dogs. Feline Dion knows that even though her past may have been difficult, the heart goes on… and her heart is open and waiting for you!
