Chris Hemsworth’s Biceps Were Looking Huge at an ’80s-Themed Party
Chris Hemsworth has been rocking a godlike physique for a decade now, since first scoring the role of Thor in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But the actor’s physique is looking even more super-powered than usual lately. In a bunch of photos posted last week from his assistant Aaron Grist’s birthday party in Sydney, Australia, Hemsworth’s recent gains are on full display.
And while a white tank top and black Adidas joggers might be a pretty low-effort costume for an ’80s-themed party, it sure is effective for showing off those jacked-as-all-hell arms.
Hemsworth’s recent transformation, which went viral when he was photographed flipping a tire in November last year, is due to another hotly anticipated project. He is due to play wrestler (and ’80s and ’90s pop culture icon) Hulk Hogan in a forthcoming biopic which will require him to build an unprecedented amount of muscle.
“I will have to put on more size than I ever have before, even more than I put on for Thor,” he told Men’s Health last year. “I will also have to do a deep dive into the rabbit hole of the wrestling world, which I’m really looking forward to doing.”
In fact, Hemsworth’s Hulk-sized arms are reportedly becoming something of an issue on the set of the fourth Thor movie, Love and Thunder: his stunt double Bobby Holland Hanton has joked that the actor’s increasingly ripped body makes his job even harder, as he has to physically resemble Hemsworth in shots as closely as possible.
“I text him and I’m like, thanks very much dude, this is going to be even harder this time,” he said about that now-infamous tire photo.
But Hemsworth wasn’t the only one at the ’80s party who’s been through a fitness transformation. His wife, actress Elsa Pataky, was also showing off her newly toned arms; she recently told Women’s Healthi that she recruited Hemsworth as a trainer to help her get in shape while she prepares for her upcoming Netflix movie Interceptor.
