This Popular Spa Skin-Care Brand Is Now Cruelty-Free
Bliss, the iconic spa brand, started 2018 with an all-new millennial-friendly revamp. Back in February, the brand introduced (highly Instagrammable) packaging and paraben- and sulfate-free products, and even better, the company made all products available at retailers like Ulta and Target for $25 or less. Now, the brand is continuing to forge into the future, thanks to a new partnership with PETA.
The new and improved Bliss is 100 percent cruelty-free, underscored by its new certification from PETA's Beauty Without Bunnies program. The certification means that all products were manufactured with zero animal testing (although not all of Bliss's products are vegan, they do have a specific vegan collection, which includes faves like Lemon & Sage Body Butter). All products will now carry PETA's bunny logo, a cute reminder that you're saving an animal simply with your choice of face wash.
"As a brand we are passionate about how our products are made and where the ingredients come from. Vowing to be cruelty free [sic] was an indisputable choice when relaunching, as it is of the utmost importance to not only our consumers, but our company and brand values," says Bliss CEO Meri Baregamian. "Shoppers can find comfort in the fact that Bliss formulas are 100 percent cruelty-free and free of other harmful ingredients without sacrificing the same high-quality and innovation that they have come to expect, know, and love from the brand."
Kathy Guillermo, PETA senior vice president, seconds her excitement: "Bliss recognizes that no animals need to suffer and die to create amazing products, and we applaud their compassion."
Customers in 2018 care about things besides pretty packaging, and Bliss gets the importance of a product that works for you and is a responsible purchase that does some good in the world.
