Hyundai i30 2017 Car Review
Who is it for: Drivers who need room to move, without compromising on style and budget.
Why we love it: While some of Hyundai’s old cars used to look like crumpled chip packets (hi, Excel), a recent design revolution – led by former Audi style chief Peter Schreyer – has injected much needed cool into Hyundai’s look.
As a result, the Korean brand now genuinely produces some of the best-looking cars on the road, and that formula has been tinkered with once again for the smooth and sensuous-looking i30 hatch.
Its street appeal joins a technology-packed offering with a spacious interior that’ll swallow all your active lifestyle might throw at it: kettlebells, yoga mats and an entire activewear wardrobe. But it’s the value proposition that nudges the i30 (from $21,450) into pole position.
Look out for: The touchscreen in the centre console, which can mirror your iPhone screen.
