Prai Beauty Names Alana Stewart Brand Ambassador

Actress Alana Stewart has been named the first brand ambassador and spokesperson for cruelty-free skin care line Prai Beauty.
Company founder and chief executive officer Cathy Kangas said Stewart was a natural fit for Prai, especially because both women share a passion about animal well-being.
“Alana and I were introduced by a mutual friend and we immediately bonded over our love of animals and skin care,” Kangas said. Stewart, who is 73, is frequently asked about how she keeps a youthful appearance and counts Prai among her regimens.
“I enjoy using the Prai Beauty skin-care line. Not only do I see a real difference in my skin and neck, I feel good about using skin care that is cruelty-free and contains the Leaping Bunny and PETA seals,” Stewart stated. “They also give a percentage of proceeds to help animals, which I really appreciate, as I have a dog named Tara, who was rescued from a shelter,” she continued.
In her new role, Stewart will leverage her skin-care knowledge and help the company expand its skin-care offerings. In particular, she’ll support the launch of the 24K Rose Gold Wrinkle Repair Night Serum. The serum is used overnight to amplify hyaluronic acids production to help skin appear smoother and plumper in the morning.
Stewart will appear on HSN as well as provide content for social media channels. “We see Alana’s celebrity as a megaphone to help spread our brand’s mission to save animals and the importance of investing in cruelty free beauty,” Kangas said.
The announcement comes on the heels of robust growth in 2018 for the brand. Prai, which is sold in 11 countries, more than doubled its door count by expanding in existing and new markets. Kangas expects 2019 will keep the momentum rolling with greater retail growth in Marks & Spencer and Boots and a digital refresh.
One of the hallmarks of Prai Beauty is its targeted neck products. Kangas said the Ageless Throat & Decolletage Creme is the number-one selling neck cream on home shopping with one product sold every 60 seconds.
“We were one of the first brands to create a full line of products specifically targeted to the delicate skin on the neck and décolletage,” Kangas said. The system features a tool for the neck using iontophoresis technology to deliver antiaging and corrective benefits designed to firm, lift and smooth the neck and décolletage.
“I especially love Prai Ageless Throat & Decolletage Creme as most women forget about their neck, which is one of the first areas to show aging. Even though I’m no longer in my 20s, or even my 40s, I’m more confident than ever and I definitely feel and look younger when using these products,” Stewart said.
Prai is also launching an Ageless Neck Line Eraser created to visible fill deep lines and wrinkles while tightening the skin with results the company said are visible in seven days. The Neck Line Eraser bows in January online at HSN.com and Praibeauty.com and retails for $30. Additionally, Prai Beauty is introducing Radiant Precious Oil Drops, a cocktail of essentials oils that absorb into skin to nourish, regenerate and even out skin tones.
“Our clients have been asking us for concentrated, paraben-free facial oil to leave skin buttery soft and supple. We combined eight rare essential oils in our new Radiant Precious Oil Drops including our namesake Prai oil derived from a Thai root in the ginger family which is in every product in the line. It is known to impart long-lasting smoothness to skin,” Kangas said.
A percentage of sales from Prai Beauty supports animal causes and empty shelters coast to coast as part of the Free the Shelters campaign, which has found more than 5,000 animals a home since its inception last year. Stewart, a rescue dog owner, will also promote the Free the Shelters effort.
