Jessica Simpson Just Shared A Photo After Giving Birth To Her Nearly 11-Pound (!!!) Baby Girl

  • Jessica Simpson gave birth to a baby girl, Birdie Mae Johnson, Tuesday, according to Instagram.
  • In her Instagram announcement, Jessica said Birdie weighs 10 pounds, 13 ounces.
  • It’s been a rough pregnancy for Jessica. She’s had bronchitis, sciatica pain, and acid relux, among other issues.

Everyone at home who’s been following Jessica Simpson’s pregnancy journey can finally breathe a sigh of relief: She’s finally given birth.

Jessica just posted a photo to Instagram celebrating her daughter’s birth: “Birdie Mae Johnson,” she captioned the photo, along with Tuesday’s date. Jessica also added Birdie’s weight: “10 pounds, 13 ounces.” (FYI: The average baby weighs around 7 pounds, 5 ounces, so yeah…Birdie’s a big baby.)

Jessica revealed her pregnancy on Instagram back in September, saying Birdie’s addition would make her family a family of five (Jessica already had two kids with husband Eric Johnson).

Honestly, this pregnancy seems to have been a journey for Jessica. On Monday, she shared an Instagram post of herself in a bikini top and sunglasses, looking like she was ready not to be pregnant anymore. “Jess-tation” she captioned the photo, poking fun at herself.

Before that, Jessica dealt with a slew of health issues—some pregnancy-related, some not. In the beginning of March, Jessica shared a photo of herself wearing a surgical mask following a weeklong hospital stay for bronchitis, apparently for the fourth time in two months. “Coughing with Birdie has been a crazy painful journey,” she wrote, but said that she was “slowly getting healthier every day.”

When she wasn’t suffering from bronchitis, Jessica was also dealing with “severe pregnancy acid reflux” (so bad that she needed to buy a recliner just to sleep), along with insomnia, sciatica pain, and some extremely swollen feet. On top of all of that, Jessica even shared that she broke a toilet seat while sitting on it.
