The Reason Why Chris Pratt Swears By Intermittent Fasting

There is no denying that everyone has been more concerned about maintaining a healthy body weight these days, especially our favorite Hollywood celebrities for whom it’s a necessity more than choice. One such trending method for weight loss is intermittent fasting which has become a huge hit among the stars who opt for a keto diet. The most recent addition in the followers of this weight loss technique is the Jurassic World actor Chris Pratt.

Chris shared his excitement through Instagram by revealing that he is currently following intermittent fasting which helped him lose some weight. The star also promoted the same and advised the fans to try the method which has apparently made him happy with its fast results.

Intermittent fasting, as the words describe it, is a process involving abstinence from food for a certain period or in other words consuming the entire amount of calories within specified hours (generally within 12 hours). The technique is mostly useful for those who follow a keto diet (high-fat and low-carb) as it facilitates transforming the body into the state of ketosis. During the process, the body starts burning the accumulated energy or fat which further contributes to attaining multiple advantages of intermittent fasting such as weight loss, lowered cholesterol, enhanced energy and inflammation reduction.

While it restricts eating anything in the fasting duration, you can still have liquids including water, tea, and coffee. Some also prefer to drink low-calorie juices or even fruit-infused water as healthy alternatives.

Having said all that, there are still mixed opinions about intermittent fasting as fitness experts tell that it’s not something that is suitable for everyone. Apart from that, it has always been pointed out that what you eat plays a more significant role than when you eat. So, to be on the safe side, it is always advisable to consult a health expert before giving a try to any diet or weight loss method.
