A beer lover decided to drink his way through Lent.
Del Hall challenged himself to give up solid food in favour of lager, black coffee and sparkling water.
And while a boozy diet may seem like a barmy idea, it actually worked.
Over the last few weeks, he’s shed more than 3st.
Del, who works at Fifty West Brewing Company in Cincinnati, Ohio, set himself a very tricky task during Lent.
The alcohol expert decided to draw inspiration from 18th century Bavarian monks – who ditched food for 40 days.
Instead of eating solid meals, he drank from an assortment of beers for six and a half weeks.
He also allowed himself to sip on other beverages, including coffee and water.
Del is pleased with the results of the beer-filled diet.
He told LADbible: “I’m feeling great!
“I went from 292.5 to 248.5. I lost 44 pounds.
“Not a single cheat!
“I plan to continue to lose weight through a protocol of intermittent fasting and portion control.”
While the brewer’s 3st weight loss is an incredible achievement, we don’t recommend following in his footsteps.
